According to FACE's Statutes (Art. 6), non-governmental organisations,
sharing and supporting the Federation's objectives, may be admitted
as Associate Members.
The very first organisation to become Associate Member (admitted
by the FACE General Assembly held in September 2003 in Cyprus)
is the
S.C.I. Foundation, which - just as FACE - operates to
protect hunters' rights and to conserve wildlife at international
level. One year later (September 2004), the European
association for traditional hunting - AECT has
become Associate Member. In a certain way comparable to FACE,
this association wants to preserve traditional hunting methods
and to conserve wildlife at international level. In 2005, FACE
General Assembly admitted as Associated Members, FEDECAT
- the World Council of Sport Federations for Hunting and Shooting,
as well as EJAK - the European Conference of Private Game-keepers.
In 2006, AECAC - the European Federation of gun dealers and
civil firearms retailers also joined the group of the Associate
Members.
Other NGOs - national, regional or international ones - wishing
to become Associate Member of FACE and to strengthen so FACE and
its activities to promote conservation through sustainable hunting,
should
contact Dr. Yves LECOCQ,
FACE Secretary-General.
